During my summer abroad studies, I was directed to brand something I encountered during my travels. Awed by the baroque style and classical tradition of St. Peter's Basilica, located in Rome, Italy, I chose it as the subject for my brand assignment. I designed a branded icon inspired by the colors, shapes, and type I found on the interior of the Basilica.

The icon consists of three shapes repeated within the floor tile, layered together in a style that interacts with the typeface found on the Basilica walls. Additionally, the gold and blue hues reflect the gilding and the primary paint color within the Basilica.
