Originally from Ellicott City, Maryland, I am a proud Hokie graduate living in the Washington, DC area. My background includes experience with print and digital design, motion graphics, and branding, and I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Virginia Tech this past May with a B.F.A. in Creative Technologies.
I am a multi-disciplinary creative who is captivated and driven by efficient storytelling and minimalist design. In constructing creative solutions, I believe less is more. Straightforward and concise work grabs your attention and doesn’t leave room for a dull or confusing moment.
I enjoy traveling to foreign countries, photography, cooking, and board games. I love working with color and geometric shapes, and I am drawn to work by painters of the futurism movement, such as Umberto Boccioni, Aleksandra Ekster, and Gino Severini.
As the middle child of three daughters, I couldn't help but become a team player, skilled communicator, active listener, and keen observer of others. I also learned to quickly assess a person's motivation and think on my feet - all necessary skills in a family with four women where even the dog is female (my poor dad).
Through my studies at Virginia Tech and my various internships I have become skilled in the use of design programs including Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, XD, and InDesign, and have an introductory understanding of the Python programming language.
As an activator, I love to turn thoughts, ideas, and concepts into action, so let's connect today!
